Boracay is governed by the Municipality Malay in the Province of Aklan and consists of three villages or “Barangays”. Yapak in the North, Balabag in the center and Manoc Manoc in the South. Though skies are sunny most of the time, expect periods of rain during the “habagat’ or wet season, with the ever-occasional mild to moderate typhoon winds (particularly around August). If the weather gets steamy, there’s always the ocean inviting you to plunge or paddle in 80-degree waters.

Climb aboard a sightseeing vessel for a wondrous boat trip around the island or engage in many offshore activities that the various beach establishments offer.
On dry land there’s more to explore. Visit superb viewpoints, enjoy local-style entertainment, and shop for island-made crafts or sample local delicacies. Savor distinctive shopping, dining and accommodation sat the diverse establishments throughout the island. Or get off beaten path by horseback, hiking or mountain bike.
